What Muslim Pro Actually Offers

Muslim Pro is a huge all-in-one Islamic lifestyle app covering prayer times, Azan notifications, the full Quran with audio recitations and translations, a Qibla finder, digital Tasbih, dua library, mosque and halal restaurant finders, and even an Umrah booking service. It also bundles in Qalbox, a streaming service for Muslim-friendly shows. With well over a hundred million installs, it’s clearly aimed at Muslims who want a single app to handle daily worship logistics rather than juggling separate tools for prayer times, Quran reading, and community features.

The scope is genuinely impressive on paper, and for anyone new to organizing their daily prayers digitally, having all these tools under one roof is the main selling point.

Where the App Genuinely Delivers

Users who stick with the free version consistently point to the adhan alerts, the Holy Quran reader, the prayer tracker, and dua collections like Hisnul as the features that keep them coming back. One long-time user called it ‘a true blessing’ specifically for these core tools, even while using the free tier. When the basic prayer and Quran functions work as intended, they clearly serve their purpose well for daily religious practice.

The breadth of extras — mosque finder, halal restaurant locator, live classes — also means the app can genuinely function as a one-stop Islamic resource, not just a prayer clock.

The Ad Situation Is a Real Problem

This is where the reviews turn sharply negative. Multiple users describe ads with fake close buttons designed to trick people into clicking through, with the real close button and countdown timer deliberately hidden. Others say the app has become ‘80% ads, 20% useful,’ with ads stacking one after another just to check prayer times, and some report ads continuing to run in the background after leaving the app entirely. One reviewer even said they shouldn’t have to sit through a 30-second ad to spend two seconds checking prayer times.

Adding to the frustration, long-time paying users say that since Qalbox was introduced, they’re pressured to upgrade subscriptions again despite already owning a lifetime plan, with ad prompts appearing even for premium-adjacent users.

Data Loss and Billing Complaints Are Common

Beyond ads, a recurring complaint is that the app deletes reading progress and prayer tracking data, forcing users to start over — something one reviewer called a core part of the app’s appeal that simply stopped working. Others report technical issues around trial billing, with cards charged immediately instead of after a promised 7-day trial. Audio quality complaints also surface, with Quran translation voices described as rushed-sounding and inconsistently switching between male and female narrators.

Who Should Actually Download This

Muslim Pro makes sense for someone who wants a broad, free Islamic toolkit and can tolerate an aggressive ad experience, or who is willing to pay for premium specifically to remove ads and unlock offline Quran access. It’s a harder recommendation for anyone who values reliable progress tracking or who has been burned by the trial-to-paid billing issues reported here. If you go in, keep an eye on subscription charges and don’t expect the free tier to stay lightweight on ads.

Pros

  • ✓Comprehensive adhan and prayer time tracking
  • ✓Full Quran with audio and translations
  • ✓Useful mosque and halal restaurant finders
  • ✓Digital Tasbih and dua library included
  • ✓Works well for free-tier daily worship needs

Cons

  • ✕Deceptive ads with hidden close buttons
  • ✕Reading progress and tracking data disappears
  • ✕Trial billing and subscription charge issues

What Real Users Say

Diamond Max ★ 1/5

“The app opens to an ad with fake close buttons, app is unusable because the ad is unclosable. Update: I don't mind ads, I don't like fake ads, like ones with multiple crosses to confuse users into clicking their link, and real the close button is hidden, and the counter, if there is one, is also hidden.”

“been using Muslim Pro for years, even bought the lifetime subscription, but now with Qalbox, I'm pressured to upgrade my subscription. Every time I open the app, I must wait for ads to play, and then it prompts me to upgrade for no ads. It's ridiculous, I'll find another app that doesn't take advantage of people. 😒 If I knew…”

Victoria Noble ★ 2/5

“This app deleted all of my reading progress. Part of the appeal of the app was being able to track how much I read. Now I can't even find where I last left off. Ads are TERRIBLE and I don't care about the subscription service. I've updated the application and it somehow is acting worse.”

Frequently Asked Questions

1

What is Muslim Pro: Quran Athan Prayer?

Muslim Pro is a Lifestyle app by Bitsmedia that bundles prayer times, Azan notifications, a full Quran reader with audio and translations, a Qibla finder, dua library, mosque and halal restaurant finders, and Umrah booking. It's designed as an all-in-one digital resource for daily Islamic practice. It also includes Qalbox, a Muslim-friendly streaming add-on.

2

Is Muslim Pro free to use?

Yes, Muslim Pro has a free version with core features like prayer times, adhan alerts, and Quran access, but it's supported by ads that many users describe as excessive and hard to close. A premium subscription removes ads and unlocks offline Quran reading and listening. Some users report billing charges hitting immediately instead of after a promised trial period, so it's worth reviewing subscription terms carefully.

3

Are the ads in Muslim Pro a real problem?

Based on user reviews, yes — this is one of the most repeated complaints. Reviewers describe ads with fake or hidden close buttons, ads stacking one after another before reaching prayer times, and ads continuing to play in the background after leaving the app. Even some paying and lifetime-subscription users report being prompted to upgrade further since Qalbox was added.

4

Does Muslim Pro lose your reading progress or prayer tracking data?

Multiple reviewers report that the app has deleted their Quran reading progress and prayer tracking history, forcing them to start over with no way to recover where they left off. This has been reported by both free and premium subscribers, including one user with an annual premium membership. It appears to be an ongoing, unresolved issue rather than an isolated case.

5

Who is Muslim Pro best suited for?

It suits Muslims who want a broad, free toolkit covering prayer times, Quran, Qibla, and community finders in one place, and who can tolerate a heavy ad load or are willing to pay to remove it. It's less suitable for those who rely on consistent progress tracking or want a smooth, hassle-free trial and billing experience. Checking subscription charges closely before committing is advisable given user reports.
