Editorial policy

Trust is the only real product of a review site. This page explains exactly how Sub2me reviews are researched, written, and maintained — including where our data comes from and how we use technology in the process.
Where our data comes from
Every review is built on publicly available, verifiable data from official app stores, collected at the time of writing:
- Official Google Play statistics: average rating, total ratings, install counts, release date, developer identity, content rating, price, and in-app purchase ranges.
- The full star-rating distribution (how many 1-star through 5-star ratings an app has), which we publish as the Ratings Breakdown in each review.
- User reviews ranked by helpfulness votes. We analyze the most helpful reviews — positive and negative — to identify the strengths and complaints that real users report most, and we quote a selection of them with attribution to Google Play.
- The device permissions each app requests, as disclosed in its store listing.
How reviews are produced
Our reviews are compiled from this store data, rating distributions, and analysis of the most helpful user reviews, with editorial assistance from AI-based writing and data-analysis tools. Every review is checked before publishing to ensure the facts match the source data and the conclusions follow from real user feedback rather than marketing claims.
Two rules apply to every review we publish:
- Every review includes cons. If we can’t find genuine weaknesses in the data and user feedback, we haven’t looked hard enough.
- We don’t invent specifics. Numbers, prices, and feature claims in our reviews come from store data or user reports — not assumptions.
Data freshness
Ratings, install counts, and user reviews reflect a snapshot taken at the time of writing, and are labeled as such on each review. App stores update continuously, so current figures on Google Play or the App Store may differ from what a review shows. When we materially update a review, its data is refreshed as well.
Independence and advertising disclosure
- We do not accept payment, free subscriptions, or other compensation from developers in exchange for reviews, scores, or placement. No review on this site is sponsored.
- Sub2me is supported by advertising (served through Google AdSense). Advertisers have no influence over which apps we review or what we say about them.
- Download buttons link only to official store listings on Google Play and the Apple App Store. We never host or link to modified APKs or third-party download files.
- Sub2me is not affiliated with Google LLC, Apple Inc., or any developer featured on this site. All app names, logos, and screenshots belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and review purposes.
Corrections
If you believe a review contains an error, email contact@sub2me.com with the page link and the issue. Verified factual errors are corrected promptly, and material corrections are reflected in the review itself.
